s reversed. Obama looked like an inexperienced kid. McCain's continuous "he just doesn't get it" worked well. One thing I liked is that they apparently agree on nuclear power. Somehow I don't believe Obama on this.
"Spending freeze" - the most amazing thing to come out of this? I think so. The Obama quote about using a hatchet where you need a scalpel was the best line of the night. I'll give kudos where they are due.
It was pretty even.
But lets look at the common man's view:
In order of appearance: A Barack fan, a McCain fan, and a crazy British woman.
Full disclosure: These are the first people who posted; this is the only bias I had with these videos - timing.

I'm glad you watched the debate so you can be a little more informed next time we talk. There were two phrases repeated throughout the night: McCain: "He just doesn't get it." Obama: "John is right."
I understand the purpose of McCain's line (even though sometimes it was unwarranted) and I thought it came off as condescending. Obama's line showed (to me) that he could find common ground and work across the aisle.
The debate lacked that "defining moment" (except for McCain's inability to pronounce the names of foreign leaders) so I agree, it was pretty even. However, if you add the fact that McCain is trailing in the polls and the topic was foreign policy (McCain's strength), a tie would drastically favor the Senator from Illinois.
I can't wait for the Vice Presidential debate next Thursday when we get to see an old fashioned Scranton, PA beatdown. (I know you love Biden.)
Is Weaver going to start talking about his steadfast belief in Marxian economics? Is that's what next? Women's oppression in patriarchal gender relations? What ever happened to him? What happened to all of you? Is this bizarro world? Tihs yloh!
